Lisa McLymont is a multi-disciplinary artist and independent designer, and an art educator at Columbus College of Art and Design and Ohio Dominican University. Her award-winning, innovative work centers on creating visual harmonies through texture and natural imagery using a variety of methods and materials, such as paint, found objects, wood and metal.
Lisa has exhibited throughout Ohio, most recently as an invited artist for Art Unbound: an Invitational at the Carnegie Gallery, which explores recycling, subtraction and the importance of the written word in contemporary society. In March 2014, her work will be the subject of a solo exhibit at Image Optical in Columbus’ Short North Arts District.
A driving force in the Columbus arts community, Lisa shares her inspiration and objective eye through groups such as the Ohio Art League (board member), Creative Arts of Women, The Creative Women of Color, and The Art and Artists of 614. Learn more about Lisa at www.lisamclymont.com/.
